Unfashionably Late is the blog of me, Gavin, a PhD student in Cultural Studies at George Mason University. Currently it is a blog without a clearly defined project, so expect to see theory-informed musings on a variety of popular culture topics of varying levels of depth. My main research interests are contemporary popular music, media, globalization, and the old class-race-nation nexus, but I anticipate using this space as a “sketch pad” for ideas that come up during my coursework.
